HAEATE is co-organizing with Chips-JU project NEHIL (https://www.nehil.eu/) a workshop entitled “Photonics in AI : Challenges and applications “ that will take place in Busan, South Korea, as a co-located event with the 31st OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC 2026), which runs from June 28 to July 2, 2026 at the Paradise Hotel Busan. The goal of Photonics in AI: Challenges and Applications is to bring together leading researchers and innovators from around the world to discuss the latest breakthroughs in photonics technologies enabling next-generation artificial intelligence systems. The workshop will feature two thematic sessions with invited talks and panel discussions, focusing on enabling technologies and architectures & applications. It will also explore collaboration opportunities between EU and Republic of Korea research institutions and industry.
