To achieve its mission, HAETAE will focus on the following objectives:
- Merge the best-in-class photonic compute technologies into a multi-material PIC computational platform through a heterogeneous integration-based approach.
- Deploy record-high scale photonic Matrix-Vector-Multiplication engines for inference and training.
- Design photonic neuromorphic circuitry beyond the reticle limit: deploy a multi-chiplet integration approach.
- Leverage Transfer Learning AI models with Neuromorphic Photonics: deploy a heterogenous integration enabled Learning engine.
- Experimental validation of the AI photonic processor in computing and communication applications.
